The above races are the "normal" races found on the world of Arkas. However, various other races do exist and can just as easily be used to create adventuring characters. Following are some of those races:

Centaurs: This half-human/half-horse being gets along well with other forest-related beings. They are large and strong and can pull more than their own weight in an adveturing group.

Goblins: A diminutive race who cause a lot of mischief and are viewed as a nuisance throughout the world.

Merfolk: These water-based beings have often come aground to live among humans and other races, though they cannot stay away from water for extended periods of time. While on land, they appear much the same as humans. While in water, they appear as half-fish/half-human, and are able to breath in the water normally. This is a huge advantage when adventurers are seeking sunken ships and lost cities under the ocean.

Ogres: These towering behemoths are not normally associated with humans, as ogres tend to enjoy feasting on human flesh. They are, however, intelligent beings and have been known, on occasion, to help out groups of humans and other races. Their wonderous strength makes them welcome in adventuring bands.

Trolls: These nasty, rubbery hided beasts can also be found in groups of adventurers. They are less tollerated than ogres, but have been known to help out in a pinch. Like ogres, they are extremely large (though not as thick and heavy) with great strength.
